The Vision, the Strategic Direction.

After 10 years of operating in Uganda, the UVRI-IAVI HIV Vaccine Program developed strategic plan that supports the process the Program's vision and mission up to year 2013.
The strategic priorities for this plan are:

• Resource development that will sustain current funding and work towards diversifying the funding stream
• Expand the program's agenda for conducting applied research in HIV related laboratory, clinic and social sciences
• Maintain capacity for Phase I and Phase II HIV vaccine trials while at the same time building capacity to be able to participate in future phase IIB and phase III studies.
• Increase visibility of the UVRI-IAVI program and its mission

Create conductive environment by availing good technical and general infrastructure and maintaining systems and process that support efficient work by the staff.
