Independent Reviews
The program financial and administrative systems are independently reviewed. On a quarterly basis IAVI compliance officer carries out monitoring visits to the program. On an annual basis the program is subject to an external audit by reputable international audit firms who have through the years issues positive opinions on financial reports and internal controls in place. Our current auditors are Deloitte and Touche.
During 2009, the program obtained an Income Tax exemption and later in 2010 obtained a VAT exemption on consultancy services.
Policies and Procedures
The program has documented policies and procedures that are strictly followed in carrying out day to day operations. The following policies are in place;
- Finance and Accounting Manual
- Procurement Manual
- Human Resources Manual
In addition to the above manuals, the program strictly adheres to all donor guidelines and regulations.
